Diane Beggs has been volunteering since the theatre reopened in 2014. She’s worked in concessions, box office and the projection booth. She volunteers because she says that is what she can contribute to show her deep appreciation of the history of the building; and by helping to keep it open, honors the people who gave so much to create this wonderful place.
Diane is a single mother of 3 sons and lives in Lakeside, where she started a monthly newsletter called the “Lakesidetonian Line.” She started the newsletter because she says the only publicity about Lakeside was bad publicity and the only news Lakeside had was by rumor. She sings in her church choir and loves musical theatre. You may have seen her in “Nunsense,” “Into the Woods,” and “My Fair
Lady” at the Liberty Theatre.
Her hobbies are organic gardening, water aerobics, crossword and other word puzzles, watching TV and recently square dancing. She hates cooking, but loves to eat!
