The City of Coos Bay and North Bend partnered with Les’ Sanitary to offer the annual clean up day.
This year they chose the Egyptian to receive any monetary donations from the day’s event.
The Empire crew collected donations in this neat Ankh that one of the workers made, along with a pyramid
and sarcophagus which were used at the other sites. The Coos Bay crew practiced walking like an Egyptian while waiting for customers.
ETPA volunteers and a musician manned the pedway downtown, serving free ice cream, cookies, popcorn and coffee.
It was a beautiful day to be downtown.
Over in East Side another crew was working hard to support the Egyptian along with one of our city councilmen.
North Bend seemed to have a steady flow of customers. Could it be because they had cookies and ice cream?
Thanks to all the workers and volunteers for their support of Clean Up Day and the Egyptian Theatre Renovation.
